PROGRAMME

  • Meeting with Alessandra at Caffè Municipio in Pordenone
  • Introduction to all the tools necessary for the activity
  • Visit to the exhibition of local food and wine traditions in the Chamber of Commerce
  • Product purchasing at “Sapori del Friuli” shop
  • Transfer to Porcia to buy and taste local cheese at the “Latteria di Palse” company
  • Transfer to the house of Nonna Marisa (thanks to Association Capitello of Cordenons)
  • Meeting with Nonna Marisa and cooking class of the Frico Friulano recipe
  • Final lunch with toast and feasting

THE STORY

Relatives and nephews look forward to taste once again the specialty of Nonna Marisa (Granny Marisa), her legendary Frico, a famous traditional dish from Friuli Venezia Giulia. The mouth-watering dish is remarkable, but this time the grandmother asks everyone to help her preparing the dish and Alessandra, a grand-daughter graduated in Gastronomy, immediately offers to organize the supply of all  necessary ingredients.

What an emotion ! We are meeting at Caffe Municipio, Alessandra carries the shopping bag and the list of ingredients, and after shopping, Nonna Marisa, the Granny, will teach us how to prepare her excellent Friulian frico!

Alessandra, food and wine guide and granddaughter of Nonna Marisa, will help us to discover the best shops and farms in and around Pordenone  to buy all the necessary ingredients to cook the Frico, a typical Friulian dish made with cheese and potatoes. We will get to know many local people who will let us take part in their lives to enter the soul of this land and its food and wine traditions. Thanks to the teachings of Nonna Marisa, everyone will put their hands on the Frico preparation, we will all eat it together in a libation based on excellent Friulian wines.

QUOTE INCLUDES:
Animation with food and wine guide specialized as Experiential Tourism Operator, walk along the center of Pordenone, Porcia and Cordenons for purchase and tastings of the products needed to carry out the cooking class planned in Cordenons. Meeting with various local people and with the cook "Nonna Marisa" for the cooking class, lunch based on Frico friulano prepared by each participant and brindisi with typical local wines.
