In the role of a “potential investor”, you will examine the project funding document that will serve as a guideline to meet the most important economic realities of the territory. We will start with a path to relive the disastrous eruption of 1928 and understand how the citizens managed to develop their economy despite the misfortune. We will visit a craft atelier and a bio-agricultural farm to allow the “investors” to gather sufficient elements to understand the great potential of this land. At the end of the survey the “investors” will return their overall assessment to the representatives of local institutions. We have no doubt that the outcome will be positive and, in all cases, there will be a celebratory toast along with a rich tasting of the best local food products.

With the help of Silvia we would dive into the XIIIth century events, the time when Corsican pirates used to ravage the richest part of Liguria, forcing the fishermen to move house to the hills of the present day Portofino Park. We will understand the consequences of such escape on the lifestyle of the fishermen who, obliged to hide from the plunderers, had to become farmers and mountaineers. We will walk over the paths of the Park, learning to recognise and cook with the forest herbs in order to prepare Genovese pesto according to the traditional recipe handed down to the innkeeper’s wife of the Antica Locanda of Mulino del Gassetta. Special surprises will not be missing when later we go down to the exclusive beaches along the course leading to Portofino, where, in the shoes of the survived fugitives, we will gather to celebrate the “Grazia Ricevuta” (Received Grace), at the ancient Church of Saint George.

You will encounter the people who for ever hand down the traditions of the Yellow: the yellow of the lemons, delicious and juicy, which you will use to make the famous “Limoncello”, a yellow liqueur that Gaetana will teach you to make according to the ancient farmers’ recipe. A master’craftsman will make a demosntartion of his art and the use of the yellow of the ceramics apart from appreciating the brilliant landscape colours. Angelo and Daniela are experts in popular dance, music and traditions of Southern Italy. They would involve you in a real and proper peasant-farmers feast at the Bellelli Farmhouse, in the countryside of Paestum, a few hundred meters from the Archeological area. In the shoes of a local farmer of the very place, you will be a protagonist in a farmer’s feast, organized especially for you. You will learn how to dance the original version of the Tarantella Cilentana dance, paired with ballet dancers and musicians of the popular dance and music group Settebocche, and with the lively participation of locals. You will live a very memorable moment, unique and unrepeatable, an authentic and genuine dive in the popular traditions of this marvelous countryside, where you can appreciate flavours of local products in a rich banquet prepared for you by Maria herself – the owner of the historical “Azienda Rurale Bellelli” (Bellelli Farmhouse).
